Upon graduation, a total of 670 hours of massage
education was completed. This consists of 520
hours of classroom instruction and supervised
practicum and 150 hours of clinical internship.
After completing the training program in New
Mexico, Amanda received extensive training in
Myofascial Release from Gary Harvell MT, MTI.
In 2001 Progressive Release Myotherapy was
founded in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.
After many years of practicing Myofascial massage,
Amanda has continued her education of the
body and it’s systems. In 2007 she received her
certification in CranioSacral Therapy. And in 2017
Amanda became certified in Advanced Myofascial
technique with instructor Til Luchau.
In her several years of practice, Amanda has
become known, respected and requested for her
healing touch. She combines several techniques to
achieve her special style of Healing Massage including but not limited to myofascial release, myoskeletal alignment techniques, trigger point work, sports massage and visceral massage, while also promoting stress reduction, relaxation and resetting the central nervous system.
She tries to create change by focusing on each client’s particular issues and working together with them to discover how each issue connects with and impacts the rest of the body. Amanda’s intuitive sense of the body is informed by her longtime massage and yoga practice and her ventures in to nature. She has found that the body is a powerful teacher, capable of providing insight if we are willing to listen.
